Internal audits are an essential part of quality management which, when done properly, will provide a balanced assessment of the fitness for purpose of the QMS.  However, our experience is that often the auditors focus on finding non-conformances at the expense of examining the system for improvement.

In our courses we focus on value adding audits. We teach techniques which will find non-conformances, but which primarily seek out opportunities for improvement.  We offer a range of courses that are suitable for the absolute beginner through to IRCA and IPC accreditation.

There are many courses for training auditors, but in this workshop we devote the training to the people on the receiving end – the auditees. We teach them how to prepare well and perform at their best during the audit. The benefits to your organisation can be significant. Customers are impressed by professional, well-prepared auditees who present the organisation at its best.

This workshop prepares the ground for this. Auditing can be stressful to the auditees but, by knowing what to expect and preparing well, the stress can be reduced. Audits also can also take up a significant amount of the auditee’s time; this workshop shows the auditees how to expedite the completion of the audit saving time and cost.

ISO 9001: 2000 takes a fresh look at customer satisfaction.  Instead of simply responding to customer complaints, you are required to measure “the perception of your customers with your products and services”. This means asking customers two basic questions “What is it that we do that matters most to you?” and “How do you rate us on these important issues?”

In this one-day in-house workshop we will show key staff how to measure customer satisfaction and derive real business benefits.  They will learn how to do this from both an external and internal customer perspective.

ISO 9001: 2000 requires management of business processes.  Mapping the processes and allocating responsibility for control are starting points, but the real payback comes with improvement in the cost effectiveness of the processes.

These workshops show how this can be achieved using a tried and tested approach. One client who adopted our approach identified achievable savings of £ 4 million on an annual turnover of £ 45 million and they thought they were already “lean”!  References are available.   more details.......
