Integrated
Management Systems (IMS) - A One-Day
Workshop
Many companies have, for all the right
reasons, approached the management of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety
and the Environment as separate issues. Quality management was often driven by
customer insistence, health and safety by legislation and environmental
management by either customer insistence or social conscience. The business
benefits of rationalisation, more efficient use of resources and cost savings
which can be derived by integrating the three issues were often not recognised.
This one-day workshop is designed to show how the core controls common to all
three can be identified and integrated, how substantial improvements can be
derived from this approach.
The ISO 9000: 2000 series of standards is
based on a process approach. This means
that you have to define your processes in the clearest way possible. For many companies this means taking a fresh
look at their documented quality system. Process mapping using flow charts is
the modern way of describing processes without using an excess of words. They show how the processes work and
interrelate and establish audit trails.
This fresh look also provides an opportunity to “prune” the dead wood
from the documented system. This one-day practical workshop shows you how to do
this.
